Chris Panagiotopoulos, President and Owner
Chris is the President and Owner of Marathon, which was organized in 1987 to provide a full range of services in the area of information technology design, programming and deployment. He is the driving force behind Marathon’s over 20% yearly growth for the past decade. Despite market fluctuations, he grew the business to $40 million dollars annually, 100% self financed and never experienced a layoff. As the president of three high technology and staffing companies, he brings over thirty five years of management, sales, marketing and product development experience.
He was an instrumental member of the original conceptual and design team for the Patriot Missile System. He has a successful track record in delivering several high technology products within schedule and budget from inception and functional specification to their release to manufacturing and sales.
His leadership, passion and teamwork are the cornerstone of Marathon and have inspired the company culture.

Tina Panagiotakos, Vice President of Operations
Tina joined Marathon in 1995, and oversees all of Marathon’s financial and operational functions, including finance and accounting, financial planning and risk management. During her tenure, she oversees the company’s largest client with over $15 million in revenue annually. Prior to joining Marathon, Tina worked for Wang Laboratories and New England Medical Center.
Her project management experience and staff development have contributed immensely and have been instrumental in the growth of Marathon.

Tony Lomazzo, Vice President, Business Development
Tony joined Marathon in 2014 as the Director of Business Development and is responsible for the growth of new business opportunities and developing new client pipeline within the QSR and Retail industry.
He brings more than 29 years of experience in the Point-of-Sale QSR industry and managed a Field Service and Installation department that delivered over 38,000 service calls annually. He understands the importance of providing service and exceeding client expectations. He has extensive knowledge working with QSR restaurants, OEM companies and service providers, focused on providing the very best service and solutions for clients by providing a total service solution.
He is a proven leader who thinks outside of the box. Prior to joining the Marathon he managed a Field Service and Installation organization with 150+ employees.
Scott Davis, Client Services Supervisor
Scott joined Marathon in 2015 and provides technical support to our network of field engineers in the field. He is also responsible for being a project/account manager for several clients, reviewing and writing technical documentation and piloting new technology at client locations.
He has been in the technical field for 25 years. He is a self-starter and started his career from high school as a PM technician cleaning school computers throughout the State of New Hampshire. He learned his hardware and electronic skills by building computers from the shell to an operating computer. He furthered his knowledge by attending training classed with HP, Compaq, Macintosh and Toshiba. In 1998, Scott became CompTIA A+ certified and never looked back. His 25 years in the industry as a field technician provides Marathon Deployment with a technician that can speak to the technicians in a language that they both understand.
Prior to joining Marathon, Scott was a Technical Team Lead with CompuCom Systems overseeing several technicians on many different projects which included coordinating the replacement of POS equipment and servers in a major US Drug Store and the POS Break/Fix of several tier one retail stores.
Milton Makris, VP of Engineering & Development
Mr. Makris brings over 30 years of technical, business and entrepreneurial experience, including executive management experience with BZinc, Amber Ready, Marathon Group, Motorola, Lucent, Cabletron Systems, Digital Equipment Corporation as well as several start-ups. Thanks to his can do attitude, and strong leadership development both start-up companies, NorthChurch Communications and RiverDelta Networks have successfully completed Mergers and Acquisitions with major OEMs. NorthChurch by Alcatel and RiverDelta with Motorola.
While at Motorola and at several Fortune 500 networking and computer companies he has been involved in the development and roll-out of some of the industry’s most widely deployed networking systems, wireless systems and network security systems. His most recent contributions while at Motorola were the successful development and product launch of a Multimedia Messaging Service Center (MMSC) that is used by Verizon and other service providers in the U.S, and abroad to deliver multimedia services for their wireless device customers.
Mr. Makris is involved in consulting, advisory, and business development roles to several small companies. He was an active board member of Amber Ready and served as interim COO during a time of need. He is actively involved in an executive advisory role to the president and CEO of John Thomas Financial (JTF), Marathon Group and Diamond Antenna and Microwave and offering strategic and operational assistance.
Mr. Makris is currently part of the executive team as Vice President of Engineering for the Marathon Group. He is involved with operational efficiencies of the organization and the development of web based applications.

Costas Christoyannis, Project Manager/Open Source Developer/Network Engineer
Costas joined Marathon in 1999. He is responsible for the project management of all of Marathon’s Open Source Enterprise Web Based Solutions. Over twelve years of application development experience. He has experienced in developing web-based enterprise applications, expertise in RDBMS requirements analysis, Design, Modeling, Normalization, Database Management concepts, development, QA, testing and implementation and in complete life cycle application. Eight years experience as a networking, installation, configuration, trouble-shooting, design, and security engineer in a 24×7 environment.
Highly motivated, dedicated, quick learner and has proven ability to build and manage development teams.

Panayiotis Silintziris, Senior Open Source Developer and Component Integrator
Panagiotis joined Marathon in 2007. He is directly responsible for creating, enhancing and promoting new Free and Open Source technologies for web solutions, including Marathon Open’s Source Enterprise Solution. Hands-on experience leading all stages of this Enterprise Solution efforts, including requirements definition, design, architecture, open source component integration, testing, and support. He is able to coordinate and direct all phases of these project efforts while motivating all team members. Over five years of application development experience.
Flexible and focused, with a strong desire to learn new technologies and how to apply them to bring cost-effective and valuable services to businesses and customers while meeting deadlines, corporate objectives, and staying within budget.

Andreas Papazois, Senior Software Engineer
Andreas Papazois, Senior Open Source Software Developer. Andreas recently joined Marathon to participate in the Enterprise Back-End Software Development activities. He has long experience in Open Source Software development projects where he closely worked with the end-user teams and developed software with various technologies and state-of-art methodologies. Apart from software development, Andreas’ professional skills include technical management, technical writing, requirements and design specification, as well as system demonstration.
Andreas has a strong academic background, he holds a BSc, MSc and PhD in Computer Engineering and Informatics from University of Patras, Greece.
